GBF was founded on the principle that the word of God must be rightly divided in order to be understood properly, that right division yield the incomparable blessing of knowing what scripture is written to us for our faith & obedience and opposed to our faith alone. For example, there is great blessing in believing that the Law of Moses is given by inspiration of God (2 Tim. 3:16) and is therefore to be received by faith but not necessarily obeyed, on the one hand, and believing that the Pauline revelation is given by inspiration of God and is intended also for our obedience. By this principle we avoid the most common problem for Bible students, reading the old covenant into the new covenant (or vice versa).
